Oedipus Opening Night Blog

Last night was OEDIPUS’ opening night, and what a night it was! We
began the day with the final polishing off of the scenes towards the
end of the play. This mainly comprised of the scenes between Oedipus
and Jocasta, Oedipus’ revelation and the the final devastating scenes
documenting the horrors that befall our main characters. After dinner
and a lovely long warm up headed by Ricky we got psyched for the
performance (we still didn’t manage to get the ball in the box though!
Boo!). The show went well, it felt like we ploughed through at full
throttle and I think the audience were taken on the ride with us.
Tonight is our second night, now all we need to do is build on the
base we started with last night’s performance. Onwards and upwards!
