Tragedy of Mariam Rehearsals Day 12

Week three is charging to an end and Mariam’s big opening on Monday is nearly here. Rehearsals are now about finding the detail and clarifying the moments. What does a person’s walk say about them? How does the turn of a shoulder tell a story? What do the characters really want from each other?

The polishing will continue tomorrow and on Monday, but often it’s only during a run that a show really grows and develops- So next week will be as exciting for the cast and creative team as it will be for the audience.

Rehearsals have been hugely fulfilling and enjoyable, spoilt only by my failure to win a single warm-up game.

Tomorrow it must happen! See you next week…
