The Merchant Bus has rolled through its first week! We had packed houses every night, which was fantastic for the cast. A great variety across our audience too, clearly Lazarus and the play itself have a broad spectrum of interest. Most people are not rushing out of the auditorium after the curtain call either, which reflects very well on the strength of the ending.
I find it fascinating the difference the audience makes. It is a very hard task for an ensemble to keep striving if there’s no warmth from the audience. A bit like a comic with an audience full of quiet laughers, they might just be enjoying themselves in a different way to those with vocal responses the previous night.
We only have a few shows left with available seats – have you got yours?
My apologies to those of you who have missed these blogs – hope this satisifies!
