Richard III Rehearsals Day 7

A Busy day today!
We retraced the themes in the french scenes adding words we might have missed as we went through the text last week. We found quite a lot of interesting recurring references to nature, religion, superstition, death…
The afternoon was spent on choreographing the battle leading to Richard’s death. With a lot of focus and sweat, we manage to create a cohesive and fluid explosion of frames in which the cast is depicting the horrors of war in a minimalistic and well organised anarchy.
We finished the day with some more work on the recurring musical theme we want to integrate to the show. We tried out harmonies and discussed the many ways in which we could use the song.
Tomorrow will be all a bout text. Exciting!
